Sadie came out of her room this morning and dramatically laid on the couch. She heaved a big sigh and said "I have a fever." I asked her what made her think she had a fever. This was her response:
"Well I couldn't suck my thumb last night because I had hot air coming out of my nose."
She didn't feel hotter then the average kid who just crawled out from a pile of blankets but I took her temperature anyway. Sure enough she had a fever.

Janelle, I cannot believe you have never heard of that method of determining a fever. I use the hot-air-coming-out-of-my-nose method all the time. :)
